Dealers hoard of 563 David Shearer Limited early advertising envelopes with 1d or 1½d Postage Paid Mannum imprints, featuring 4 different advertisements at left for various agricultural implements. All addressed, but unused and includes 10 complete sets of 4 envelopes. Shearers closed in 1977 and after having a general clean up were salvaged from the Mannum Council Rubbish Dump in 1978 by Mr J. Volkmann. Approximately 1,200 envelopes were recovered with only 29 complete sets of the 4 envelopes known to exist. 1934 Advertising envelope for Viner Transport & Furniture Storage Co, franked with 1934 2d Victorian Centenary issue. Interestingly it is addressed to Dr. E.C. Everest Expedition, Rongbuk Glacier Base Camp, 1924 cachet in Black (normally in Red on the later mass mailed postcards), as well as the rare Mt.Everest Expedition, Rongbuk Glacier Main Base Camp 17,000 ft. 1924 cachet (Waterfall in his handbook comments 1924 Mount Everest Expedition Postcard sent from Yatung Base on 9 Jul 24 with the Expedition label tied by Mt. Everest Expedition, Rongbuk Glacier Base Camp, 1924 cachet in Black (normally in Red on the later mass mailed postcards), as well as the rare Mt.Everest Expedition, Rongbuk Glacier Main Base Camp 17,000 ft. 1924 cachet (Waterfall in his handbook comments "The Rarity: I have only seen four copies and one on cover and one on postcard"), franked with 1a and ½a Indian stamps, tied by Yantung Tibet via Siliguri CDS, sent by runner to the British Post Office in Pharijong and addressed to South Australia.
