This sale is G.S.T. inclusive. Lots offered by G.S.T. registered vendors with G.S.T. included in the sale price are indicated by an * after the estimate. Philatelics (Australia) Pty. Ltd. reserve the right to refuse any bid. All bids to be made in Australian Currency. Whilst every care is taken during invoicing, Philatelics (Australia) Pty. Ltd. regret they cannot accept responsibility for any errors.

All Postal and Insurance charges are to be debited to the purchasers invoice. A packaging fee ranging from $1.00 for small items to $10.00 for larger cartons is payable for each package despatched. Items with special packaging requirements such as framed prints or wines may incur additional fees. Buyers of bulky lots, particularly from overseas, should refer to the Australia Post website www.australiapost.com.au for guidance as to postal charges. We pride ourselves on over protecting items so they reach customers in top condition. Lots will be held until personal cheques are cleared, except by special arrangement with known clients, prior to the sale. 10% G.S.T will be added to the buyers commission and any packing and insurance charges for Australian customers.

Each lot is sold as genuine, unless indicated to the contrary. The purchaser is at liberty to reject any lot (other than collection lots) if it is proven the lot is not genuine or incorrectly described. Single stamps, coins and items described as having defects are not returnable for the described or lesser defects. Collection and bulk lots are not returnable, except where specifically mentioned items are not correctly described. Lots must be returned within 7 days of receipt. Returned lots from overdue accounts may be refused as the vendors have generally been paid.

A buyer, prior to bidding, subject to our approval, may request an 'Extension' for up to 100 days after the sale date on a lot, in order to obtain a certificate from an approved recognised authority. Such a request must be received by us in writing or by e-mail. The inability of an expert committee to express an opinion is not grounds for return. The costs of any certificate shall be the responsibility of the buyer, except as follows. We will pay up to A$40.00 towards the cost of obtaining an certificate, where the certificate states the item is forged, repaired, a reprint, damaged or otherwise altered and was not described as such in our printed auction catalogue.

In the event that equal bids are received the lot will be sold to the first bid received, unless that bid is conditional upon an alternate bid or a total purchase limit, in which case it is at our discretion. Where a bid has been adjusted to a lower or higher bidding step, the bid is considered to be the adjusted amount. Phone bids must be confirmed in writing. Whatever method of submitting bids is used constitutes understanding and accepting these conditions of sale. Whist every care is taken during selling and invoicing, Philatelics (Australia) Pty Ltd regret they can not accept responsibility for any error. We are not responsible for any bid that may not be received due to a web outage, postal delays, email delays or incorrect spam filters. We can upon request confirm receipt of bids by email.

All accounts are payable in full within 30 days of the sale closing date. Overdue accounts are subject to 2% interest per month from the date of the sale, plus any costs associated with the recovery of the outstanding amount. The purchaser shall be responsible for the payment of a 15% commission and any shortfall on any re-offered lot in the event of non payment.

Please check your bids carefully to avoid errors. Where one of several lots is required you may bid on all lots by adding 'Or' between the bids. We are unable to execute bids in preferential order. Estimates are a generally conservative guide to a likely realisation and bids above or below our estimates are acceptable, however bids below 75% of our estimates are regretfully refused. A small proportion of lots may be subject to reserves that will not exceed the estimate. Successful bidders are assured of speedy despatch of material if payment is made by Bank Cheque, Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Money Order. American Express transactions will be charged a 2% surcharge. Please allow approximately 18 days for invoicing, packaging and postal transmission, more for overseas. Lots may be viewed at our office at any time during our normal trading hours up until the closing date. Smaller lots may be viewed by E-Mail or photocopied.

We prefer international buyers to pay by credit card or bank draft in Australian dollars. If you should choose to pay in another currency please add A$15.00 for banking fees to your invoice and allow a further 2.5% to cover possible exchange rate variations. To obtain the correct exchange rate refer to the ANZ bank web site www.anz.com.au/australia/support/general/fx.asp and use the Bank Buys Cheques rates. We will credit or debit any difference when the payment is banked to your account.
