1911 Stamp Design Competition Essay designed by Arthur L. Brice, 1d KGV on 4.3 x 5.6cm sepia coloured glazed paper and endorsed 1911 Stamp Design Competition Essay designed by Arthur L. Brice, 1d KGV on 4.3 x 5.6cm sepia coloured glazed paper and endorsed "Albo" at lower right (Brice's nom de plume for the competition). Also the final hand drawn original 8.9 x 11.5cm pen and ink in Black and White on thin card with "Design submitted to" at top and "Commonwealth Postal Authorities" at base, by Arthur L. Brice and endorsed "Albo" at lower right, plus two progressive designs, hand written Explanation of Stamp and postcard of the submitted design with hand written message detailing the competition on reverse. Very fine and rare. Recently discovered and the only known example of this design. Unrecorded in the Australian Specialist catalogue.
