1902 Unfranked Cover from Dunedin Training Camp, with 1902 Unfranked Cover from Dunedin Training Camp, with "E.(Coat of Arms)R./New Zealand Ninth Contingent/Forbury Camp, Dunedin" and "MILITARY POST OFFICE, FORBURY, N.Z./FREE" handstamp (known used February 8th-March 12th 1902), cancelled Dunedin 13 MR 02 with faint Christchurch backstamp. Small tear on front and centre vertical fold with some toning blemishes, but still a fine cover mailed prior to embarkation. The Ninth Contingent was made up of men who had not been accepted into the Eighth and was also divided into two regiments, the South Island Regiment sailed from Port Chalmers aboard the SS Kent, while the North Island Regiment sailed from Auckland on the SS Devon. One of its members, Lt. Robert McKeich, was the last New Zealander to be killed in combat after being shot during a confrontation with three Boers four days after the official surrender.

Everest Expedition, Rongbuk Glacier Base Camp, 1924 cachet in Black (normally in Red on the later mass mailed postcards), as well as the rare Mt.Everest Expedition, Rongbuk Glacier Main Base Camp 17,000 ft. 1924 cachet (Waterfall in his handbook comments 1924 Mount Everest Expedition Postcard sent from Yatung Base on 9 Jul 24 with the Expedition label tied by Mt. Everest Expedition, Rongbuk Glacier Base Camp, 1924 cachet in Black (normally in Red on the later mass mailed postcards), as well as the rare Mt.Everest Expedition, Rongbuk Glacier Main Base Camp 17,000 ft. 1924 cachet (Waterfall in his handbook comments "The Rarity: I have only seen four copies and one on cover and one on postcard"), franked with 1a and ½a Indian stamps, tied by Yantung Tibet via Siliguri CDS, sent by runner to the British Post Office in Pharijong and addressed to South Australia. Superior to an almost identical Postcard sent on the same date and addressed to South Africa, offered by David Feldman in December 2020 that realised Euro 2,684 including buyers commission.
